Teen Outreach Program (TOP®):
It is a nationally replicated, evidence-based best practice program used to empower teens to lead successful lives and build strong communities. Through a combination of curriculum-guided group discussion, parent meetings, college trips, youth retreats and community service learning, TOP® promotes the positive development of adolescents – reducing the risk of problem behavior while developing healthy behaviors, life skills and a sense of purpose in participants. It’s proven highly effective in increasing school success and protecting youth from risk factors that contribute to school drop-out and teen pregnancy. Funded through NCDHHS PREP grant, TOP® is offered as an exploratory class operated at Henderson Middle School, located in Henderson, NC for 6th-8th grade students. For more information contact
